We will leave Rurrenabaque at8:30 a.m. After an hour’s boat trip we will visit a community, "Villa Alzira", where we will learn something about the way of life of the local people. We will then continue the trip up the rivers Beni and Tuichi where we can enjoy spectacular landscapes such as the Bala Canyon. Upon our arrival at the eco-lodge "Mashaquipe" you will receive a welcoming glass of fruit juice before lunch. In the afternoon we will visit the bamboo forest, a special place for seeing some animals, such as peccaries, turtles and others. You may also be surprised by the giant trees that grow in the rainforest. On our return to the eco-lodge we will have dinner and then rest.
Breakfast will be at 7:00 am. Then we will take our backpacks to start our adventure into the depths of the jungle. After 4 hours of walking we will reach the small river called "Idiria" where we will prepare our lunch. You can also use this time to take a refreshing swim in its clear waters. After a rest we will continue walking for about another 2 hours and will look for a suitable place (river beach) to camp overnight. After dinner we can take a night walk to look for the eyes of caiman, deer and others. With luck we may see a tapir or jaguar. As an optional activity we can go piranha fishing.
We will get up at 5:00 am in order to enjoy the sunrise in the rain forest and to listen to the different songs of birds and monkeys as they greet the new day. At about 8:30 am we will have breakfast. Then we will continue our trek to our new camp site, stopping for lunch, at an appropriate time and place. At approximately 3:30 pm we will arrive at our camp "Tapir footsteps" where we will stay overnight. If everyone still has enough energy we can take a night walk.
Breakfast will be at 6:30 am and then we will take our backpacks and climb the “Mountain of the Spider Monkeys". Here we can look at different mountain landscapes and enjoy the views across Madidi National Park. During the walk we will be able to watch spider, howler and capuchin monkeys. In the afternoon we will arrive at our camp "Patujusal" where we will have dinner and rest.
Breakfast will be at 7:30. Then we will make a circuit around the "Patujusal" camp in order to watch the spider monkeys and continue to be surprised by the amazing rainforest biodiversity: the array of plants and insects. We will return to the camp for lunch. In the afternoon we will go to the "Arenalito" camp. Before arriving we can enjoy, from the top of the mountain, the spectacular macaws and parrots, the view across Madidi National Park and a beautiful sunset. We will have dinner and rest.
The different songs of birds and monkeys greet the new day. At about 8:00 am we will have breakfast. Then we will collect our belongings and go to the river Tuichi where we will build a log raft (traditional transport of the Amazonian Indians) and go rafting for about 2 hours. However we will have the boat for security, for our backpacks and for people who do not wish to participate in this activity. We will have lunch at the "Mashaquipe" eco-lodge and later return to Rurrenabaque where we will arrive at about 16:00 pm
